Welcome to the homepage of Software Engineering Project 1 (COMP.SE.610, BSc level) and Software Engineering Project 2 (COMP.SE.620, MSc level) courses.

During the project, student teams implement a software product, or add new features to an existing application. Team size is 5-7 students, and teams have students from Software Engineering Project 1 (developers) and Software Engineering Project 2 (senior developers) courses.

News

  • Important: Companies, associations, etc., can propose projects for the course. Deadline for the project proposals for autumn 2023 projects is on 28.8.2023.

  • Next implementation (City centre campus and Hervanta campus) of Software Engineering Project 1 (COMP.SE.610) and Software Engineering Project 2 (COMP.SE.620) starts in teaching period I (autumn 2023).
    • Intial lecture is on Tuesday, 29.08.2023, starting at 14.15. Zoom link can be found from the Moodle.
    • Project topic presentations given by customers are on Thursday, 31.08.2023, starting at 14.15.
  • Course registration ends at 27.08.2023:
    • Software Engineering Project 1 (COMP.SE.610). This is a BSc level course, recommended for 3rd year students. Check required and recommend prerequisites from the course description. Please notice that all studies in Prerequisite group 1 (Introduction to Software Engineering, Programming 2: Structures and Human-Technology Interaction 1: Basics) or in Prerequisite group 2 (Basic studies in Computer Sciences) must be completed before taking the course.
    • Software Engineering Project 2 (COMP.SE.620). This is a MSc level course, recommended for 4th and 5th year students. Check required and recommended prerequisites from the course description.
